The rose garden is a tranquil haven, and has many different David Austin Roses. It has a wheelchair/pram friendly path, and there is a bench to sit and contemplate the world, with a stunning view of the countryside.

Cheristow Lavender Gardens

The tearoom overlooks the lavender garden and is a wonderful sight in the summer when the lavenders are out in bloom.

The gardens are high up, and from them you can see for miles around. St Nectans church with its 128ft spire (and the tallest in North Devon), can be seen from the garden, as well as Bursdon Moor, Hartland Village, Clovelly Cross, the village of Stoke, and of course the sea. In the winter, you can see Lundy Island (before the hedgerows get too green in the summer).
