Eric was born here at Higher Cheristow. Farming has changed a lot over the years, with the advent of tractors and modern machinery which aims to make farmers lives a little easier and with the emphasis changing to a more profit making business model rather than a way of life.

With the advent of modern extremely intensive beef and dairy farming, Eric decided to revert to a more traditional farming model - low impact, non intensive, with a focus of animal welfare, outdoor grazing and looking after the environment.  We avoid the routine use of pesticides, antibiotics and artificial fertlisers and do not knowingly use any genetically modified products.

We keep ducks, chickens and geese and have our coppice which will in time provide us with wood for our woodburner.
